Sunny, blue sky day,
after a great snow fall.
I walk down the fourth street
of my home town feeling so small.
The crows are a-flocking.
Just like they do
this time each day,
as the twilight falls behind the moon
I don’t know what I am searching for.
There’s this ache in my chest,
this unnerving unrest
I feel oh, so separate
and oh, so much less
solo
I wanna ride the blue horse;
wanna sit upon it’s back
We’ll both learn such trust.
They’re be no need to look back.
And the pines will be waiting,
so warm and dark;
they’ll swallow us whole so that we
don’t leave a trace or a mark.
I don’t know what I’m looking for.
There’s this ache in my chest,
this unnerving unrest
has eaten right through
my very best , my best
